# A new name in the women's peloton — UAE Team ADQ becomes UAE Team L'IMAD

On 1 August 2026, right at the start of the Tour de France Femmes, the UAE women's team changed its name. [UAE Team ADQ became UAE Team L'IMAD](https://www.cyclingnews.com/pro-cycling/womens-cycling/uae-team-adq-get-new-name-for-tour-de-france-femmes-and-beyond/). The supplier stays the same: Pissei.

## What changes and what does not

A name change in the middle of the season is unusual. For the kit it means work: every piece carries the team name, and from 1 August that name reads differently on the jersey.

At the Tour de France Femmes, held from 1 to 9 August, the team then rode [under the new name and took the team classification](https://www.letourfemmes.fr/en/team/UAD/uae-team-l-imad). Demi Vollering of Team FDJ UNITED-SUEZ won the overall.

## A signing for two years

[Pauliena Rooijakkers signed with UAE for 2026 and 2027](https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/tour-de-france-femmes-podium-finisher-pauliena-rooijakkers-signs-with-uae-team-adq-for-2026-and-2027/). She had already stood on the podium of the Tour de France Femmes. For a team still fairly new to the Women's WorldTour, that is a clear statement.

## Pissei in the women's peloton
