# Black Instead of White — UAE Team Emirates Shows the 2025 Kit with New Sponsor XRG

After two years in white, UAE Team Emirates goes black for 2025. Black sleeves, black torso, the red Emirates logo as a contrast. The color change is not a redesign out of a desire for change — it has a regulatory reason.

## Why black

New UCI rules require team jerseys to be more clearly differentiated from the Grand Tours classification jerseys. The white UAE kit was too close to the white jersey of the best young pro. Black sleeves and the red Emirates logo create the necessary differentiation.

For Pissei, it is the biggest design change since the beginning of the partnership. The iconic white of the Triple Crown season gives way to a darker look that looks different on the road — more aggressive, less clinical.

## XRG — The new sponsor

A new name appears on the chest: **XRG**. The recently founded international investment division of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, valued at 80 billion US dollars, becomes the team's most visible sponsor. XRG also appears on Pogačar's rainbow jersey.

The name change marks the evolution of the UAE cycling program: from a team sponsorship to a strategic platform with global aspirations.
