## EQ RS Clima Capsule TARGA

The EQ RS Clima Capsule TARGA from Assos is an ultralight **wind and rain protection** layer from the EQUIPE RS line, optimized for changing light conditions, fast descents and strong temperature fluctuations. The current TARGA version was developed with feedback from the **WorldTour** and fits even more elastically like a second skin for improved aerodynamics. At its heart is the new two-layer **Silver Storm** membrane, which combines high **reflection**, **windproofing** and **water repellency** and replaces the previous Silver Haze. Thanks to its packable design and sporty **racingFit** fit, the jacket is ideal as a quick protective layer for ambitious rides in Switzerland.

## Technische Details und Funktionen

In the front and upper back areas the new two-layer **Silver Storm** membrane is used, replacing the original Silver Haze and offering additional **elasticity** as well as improved **packability**. In less exposed sections, lighter **Yubari** inserts increase **breathability**, while the highly elastic **Push Pull** textile enhances comfort and completes the close-fitting aero silhouette. The **2‑way zipper** allows controlled ventilation from top or bottom while maintaining the protective barrier against rain or spray; additionally, access to jersey pockets remains straightforward. A central **reflective stripe** on the back complements the overall reflectivity of the membrane-coated front, improving visibility at dusk and in tunnels. The raw-edge hem reduces layering volume for uncompromising aerodynamics on fast Swiss roads. 

## Einsatzgebiete und Vorteile

This shell is designed for **fast trainings and races** where speed, visibility and core protection matter – for example morning rides in the Mittelland, fast alpine descents or changeable spring and autumn weather. As an emergency and descent jacket it keeps the **upper body** excellently wind- and water-repellent, while the very breathable zones prevent overheating during intense efforts. The cut is deliberately **tight** and optimized for the riding position, which reduces flapping and increases efficiency; off the bike it can feel correspondingly snug. For cold, wet days the Clima Capsule can be worn over a warm layer – for example a winter jacket – while in summer it serves as a **shield** on long, cool descents. The highly **reflective** front further increases visibility at dusk on Swiss country roads. 

## Passform und Grössenwahl

The **racingFit** fit is very close to the body and works best over thin EQUIPE layers; if you're between sizes, you generally choose the usual race fit. At rest the jacket appears tighter; on the bike it hugs like a **second skin** and does not flutter even at high speed. In size M the weight in tests is around **154 g**, which underlines the extremely **small pack size**. Please note that the sleeves are designed for maximum mobility and breathability and offer less weather protection than the heavily protected front – ideal for riders who prioritize performance and climate regulation.
