On 4 July 2026, the day the Tour starts in Barcelona, Tadej Pogačar signs a lifetime contract with DMT. He will ride for DMT for the rest of his career — and beyond, as the brand puts it.

Six years until the signature

The partnership begins in the summer of 2020, when Pogačar wins his first Tour. Pogačar does not only wear the shoes, he also helps develop them. For the 2022 collection he designs his own model. That is where the Pogi's line comes from, named after his nickname in the peloton.

In that time his apparel supplier changed: since 2023 Pogačar rides in Pissei kit. The shoes, however, stayed.

A workshop, not a corporation

The history of DMT begins in 1978 with the founding of Diamant di Federico Zecchetto. At first, cycling shoes were made by hand in small batches. In 1986 Zecchetto turned it into a brand of its own with a narrow focus: shoes for professionals. Later DMT became the first brand to bring a fully knitted upper to road cycling. The technology is called Engineered 3D Knit and works without seams and pressure points.

Three weeks later

On 26 July, Pogačar rolls into Paris. A fifth Tour victory, five stage wins, 6:26 minutes ahead of Remco Evenepoel. Isaac del Toro finishes third, 9:42 back. At 27, Pogačar shares the record of five Tour wins with Merckx, Hinault, Indurain and Anquetil — as the youngest of that group.

In our shop you will find the Pogi's Superlight and the KR0 EVO Superlight.
