For over ten years, Assos bib shorts came in one colour: black. Now the Equipe R and Dyora R 2025 collection breaks with that tradition. Terra Sand, Stella Lavender, Flame Orange, Halo Green, Future Dusk — and a patterned Violet Trip surface design.
The Collection
Equipe R (men) and Dyora R (women) are the entry point to Assos' race range. Not the cheapest bib short on the market, but the most affordable path to Assos technology: 210 USD / 190 EUR for the shorts, 175 USD / 150 EUR for the jersey.
The S11 DNA is inside. The AirCell fabric in the jerseys — ultralight circular knit with a hexagonal pattern — comes from the development of the more expensive lines. The goldenGate 2.0 chamois features a new cutout design that reduces volume without sacrificing comfort. The 9 mm foam pad is gender-specifically shaped.
Why Colour Now?
Assos' reasoning: «Buy less, buy better.» If customers are supposed to buy fewer but higher-quality pieces, those pieces need to be fun too. Black shorts are timeless, but they don't express personality. The new colours are bold enough to stand out but not so loud they'll be embarrassing next season.
Assessment
The Equipe R / Dyora R is for everyone who wants Assos quality but doesn't want to spend 360 USD on a Schtradivari. And now also for everyone who finds black boring.
