March 7, 2026, Tuscany. Tadej Pogačar attacks on Monte Sante Marie, 78 kilometers before the finish in Siena. An attack that looks like madness — and smells of tactics. He rides alone over the white gravel roads, alone through the Tuscan hills, alone to the finish on the Piazza del Campo. Fourth victory at the Strade Bianche. Fabian Cancellara's all-time record of three victories is broken.
The race
78 kilometers solo. In a race known for its unpredictability — gravel, wind, heat, dust — Pogačar rides a time trial against everyone. Behind him, the chasing group is reduced to two: 19-year-old Paul Seixas and teammate Isaac del Toro. Seixas pulls away from del Toro on the Via Santa Caterina and secures second place — del Toro finishes third.
It is the kind of victory that makes Pogačar the dominant figure of modern cycling: not in a sprint, not in the final ramp, but over the pure distance. Anyone who rides 78 kilometers alone and wins demonstrates not just legs, but a head.
Pissei on the Strade Bianche
The 2026 kit — "Fragments of Precision" — undergoes its first big test on the white roads of Tuscany. For Pissei, this has a special touch: the Strade Bianche runs through the brand's home town. Pistoia is less than 100 kilometers away from the route. Pogačar wins in Tuscan clothing on Tuscan soil.
Assessment
Four Strade Bianche, a Triple Crown, two Tour victories — Pissei has become the clothing brand of the Pogačar era. What began as an unexpected partnership in 2022 has developed into one of the most successful collaborations in professional cycling in three years. And the 2026 season has only just begun.
