When Colombia’s cyclists compete in Paris, they will be wearing Suarez. Road racing, track, BMX — all disciplines, one supplier. For the brand from Medellín, the Olympic Games are the logical continuation of a partnership that has existed for over 16 years.
The kits
Suarez has developed discipline-specific kit for Paris 2024. The road jerseys are based on aerodynamic cuts and the proven two-fabric construction. There are special time trial suits for the track. The BMX collection has a more robust cut and is designed to meet the requirements of the dirt track.
All items feature the yellow, blue and red color scheme of the Colombian national team — one of the most recognizable designs in the peloton. The Olympic version subtly complements it with the rings and Paris 2024 branding.
Colombia and the Olympics
Colombia has a long Olympic history in cycling. Mariana Pajón won BMX gold in 2012 and 2016. Rigoberto Urán won silver in the road race in 2012. Egan Bernal, Nairo Quintana, Fernando Gaviria — the list of Colombian riders competing at the highest level is long.
The fact that these athletes compete in clothing from Medellín is no coincidence. Suarez tests where Colombian professionals train: at altitude, in heat and humidity. The Olympic kits are the result of direct feedback from the national team.
Assessment
For Suarez, the Olympic Games are above all about visibility. While brands like Nike and Castelli kit out entire Olympic delegations, Suarez has a clear focus: cycling, Colombia, authenticity. It’s less broad — but more credible.
