Pissei is expanding its WorldTour presence: after UAE Team Emirates, the Tuscan manufacturer is also outfitting the women’s team UAE Team ADQ. This means that Pissei now dresses both genders in the UAE cycling program — from the WorldTour peloton to the junior riders.

The collection

The women’s collection is based on the Magistrale Women line and was developed specifically for the female body. Three different fabrics — for the front, sleeves and back — ensure the right balance between compression, freedom of movement and ventilation.

The sleeves are raw-cut and made from closed, aerodynamic fabric. The back uses mesh for maximum breathability. The fit is designed to suit different body types — not a shrunken men’s jersey, but a development in its own right.

As with the men’s team, the range includes short and long-sleeved jerseys, jackets, vests, skinsuits, bib shorts and accessories. Everything is made in the Custom Lab in Italy.

Same quality, same source

What sets Pissei apart from many of its competitors: The women’s collection comes from the same workshop and uses the same fabrics as the men’s collection. There is no difference in quality between what Pogačar wears and what the ADQ riders get. The cut is different, the technology is identical.

Assessment

The simultaneous outfitting of men’s and women’s teams is not a matter of course in the WorldTour. Many teams have different suppliers for their programs. The fact that Pissei supplies both from a single source strengthens development — feedback from two pelotons flows into the same prototypes.
