In 1954, Paolo Sorbini mixes nutritional supplements for athletes in Milan. Seventy years later, his company has a turnover of 97 million euros, two factories of its own on Lake Como and the world's top-ranked tennis player as a partner. The equation is simple: if you formulate well, you gain the athletes' trust. And eventually their names.
Enervit has used the 2024 anniversary year on several levels. Mondadori Electa is publishing “The Enervit Story”, a photographic book documenting seven decades of company history. A documentary is planned for 2025 on Sky Sport — “Lo Sport nel Racconto — The Enervit Story” — with Tadej Pogacar and Jannik Sinner as the protagonists.
Sinner is the bigger signal. He became an official nutrition partner in June 2024. Not as a marketing decision in a conference room: the South Tyrolean had already been using Enervit products privately. The formalization coincided with his Australian Open title and taking over the world number one ranking — a timing that no press spokesperson could have planned better.
For Enervit, Sinner means more than tennis. The company is historically deeply rooted in cycling, Pogacar rides with Enervit nutrition. Sinner opens up a different market: younger target groups, different consumption moments.
The figures behind the anniversary are solid: turnover in 2024 at 97 million euros, up 13.4 percent on the previous year's 85.57 million. Production is not outsourced, but takes place in Zelbio and Erba — both locations near Lake Como. The company is listed on the Borsa Italiana under ENV.MI.
Enervit is still managed by the second generation Sorbini: Alberto as Chairman and Co-CEO with 17.74 percent, his brother Giuseppe “Pino” as Co-CEO and Managing Director with the same share, Maurizia as a member of the Executive Board with 14.78 percent. Family business, listed on the stock exchange, with pharmacist DNA. A rarer combination than it sounds.
Seventy years is a long time in the sports nutrition market. The fact that Enervit is not using this age as a showcase for nostalgia, but for repositioning, is the real statement of this year.
