X-LAB AD7 Road Bike
The X-LAB AD7 is a road bike with a frame made of XDS carbon fiber and disc brakes. For the build, X-LAB relies on components from its own development, complemented by Shimano and Fizik. For aerodynamics, the manufacturer points to wind tunnel measurements at Silverstone. The AD7 is available in 8 variants.
Technical Details and Features
The groupset is a Shimano 105 Di2. Di2 shifts electronically at the push of a button, so there's no mechanical shift cable. The wheels come from Branta and are called C45 SL. Their rims are made of carbon.
A Branta power meter is already fitted to the bike. That means you can see your wattage without having to install anything afterwards. The Branta Carbon Integrated Cockpit combines handlebar and stem into a single carbon unit. The saddle is the Fizik Aidon.
Applications and Benefits
The AD7 is aimed at riders who want to go fast. That applies to racing, but also to training rides and fast group rides. The power meter helps you structure your sessions by output. The electronic shifting works the same in any weather.
Because the frame, wheels, power meter, and cockpit work well together, you'll hardly need to upgrade anything.
