DMT POGI'S Superlight Shoes – Black/Grey
The DMT POGI'S Superlight are ultra-lightweight road cycling shoes, developed in collaboration with Tadej Pogačar for maximum efficiency on Swiss roads and passes. The 3D‑Knit upper material is 15% lighter than the previous model and fits breathably and snugly around the foot. The new Superlight‑Carbon sole comes as a high-stiffness monocoque construction with reduced stack height, which optimises the foot-pedal distance and makes power transfer noticeably more direct. Clean airflow is ensured by the tapered, aerodynamic silhouette with integrated AeroSafe pocket for storing the laces. At just 195 g per shoe in size 42, this model is built for speed, control and responsiveness. As a bonus for solo rides, the left shoe contains an ICE‑KEY NFC‑Tag for storing emergency medical data.

Technical Details and Features
The specially developed Superlight‑Carbon sole uses a high-rigidity monocoque construction to transfer every watt efficiently to the pedal with minimal loss. The reduced stack height creates a shorter foot-pedal distance, which improves biomechanics and pedalling feel, especially during sprints and steep climbs. The seamlessly constructed 3D‑Knit upper material combines support with excellent ventilation, which is particularly convincing on warm summer days around Lake Zurich or in Ticino. The slim profile and AeroSafe pocket are crucial for airflow, neatly storing the laces within the shoe body. Lacing systems are considered advantageous in aero discussions because they don't require protruding dials; however, tension is less convenient to adjust on the go. Independent tests praise stiffness, weight and comfort, but point out the less quick adjustment of the lacing – a racing trade-off that many accept.
Applications and Benefits
These shoes are made for road racing, intensive training intervals and long Alpine passes, where every gram and every watt counts. The low weight and very stiff Carbon sole support explosive accelerations as well as constant climbing on Swiss classics like Klausen or Albula. The highly ventilated Knit‑construction keeps your feet dry, while the aerodynamic shape reduces air resistance – noticeable at high speeds on flats or during time trial sections. Those who prioritise aero gains benefit from the flat lacing setup; those who frequently adjust on the go should know that laces are less adaptable "on the fly". For additional safety on solo rounds or in the mountains, the ICE‑KEY NFC‑Tag is on board, so helpers can quickly access stored data in an emergency. The replaceable heel pads protect the material and provide grip during café stops after your ride.
Fit and Setup Tips
The close-fitting 3D‑Knit wraps around the foot like a second skin and feels particularly seamless after a short break-in period. The entry is sportily tight, which improves heel hold on the bike; a shoe horn can make putting them on easier. According to independent reviews, the fit is race-oriented and very stable, while the lacing deliberately focuses on aerodynamics rather than quick adjustment. For cleat mounting, the shoe is designed for the standard road bike three-hole standard, as the integration of Look features shows in tests. Take time with cleat positioning to fully exploit the advantage of the reduced stack height and protect knees and Achilles tendon. And if you frequently ride in wet or dusty conditions, regular care with mild cleaner is worthwhile to keep the Knit fresh for a long time.
