The DMT POGI’S HEART BEAT is a top-class road cycling shoe, developed on the KRSL platform and refined in collaboration with Tadej Pogačar. The seamless Engineered 3D Knit upper hugs the foot like a sock and provides high breathability as well as a natural feel. Under the foot, the ventilated Aerated SL Carbon sole works for efficient power transfer and direct feedback on the pedal. As a Special Edition, the subtle graphic design picks up color accents that symbolize Pogačar's biggest victories, making the shoe unmistakable on every ride. Additionally, an NFC-Tag (ICE-KEY) is integrated, through which medical data can be made available in an emergency. This combination of technology and clear design language is made for ambitious riders in Switzerland.

Technical details and features

The KRSL construction relies on a one-piece, seamless 3D Knit upper that reduces pressure points and envelops the foot evenly. The Aerated SL Carbon sole combines very high stiffness with targeted ventilation, so performance and temperature management remain convincing even on warm summer days on Swiss roads. For closure, DMT uses a lacing system with roller guide; it allows fine adjustment and the excess lace disappears into an integrated pocket for a smooth, aerodynamic silhouette. The 8 mm fore/aft adjustment of the cleats makes fine-tuning the position on the pedal easier, which is noticeably beneficial on long climbs and intense intervals. An NFC-Tag (ICE-KEY) in the left shoe can store personal and medical information to assist first responders in an emergency. These features are complemented in the Heart Beat Edition by a design that colorfully honors Pogačar's successes.

Use cases and benefits

The DMT POGI’S HEART BEAT feels at home wherever efficiency, support and ventilation are required: fast road training, alpine passes as well as races and marathons. The firm knit upper offers a stable fit without constricting the foot and promotes constant air exchange thanks to its pore structure. Thanks to the stiff carbon sole, you transfer watts especially directly, which brings noticeable advantages on long climbs at Lake Zurich, in Ticino, or in the Grisons Alps. The clever lace pocket provides a tidy surface and reduces potential flapping in the slipstream. At the same time, the 8-mm cleat adjustment supports precise bike fitting, so you can quickly find your preferred pedal position. Note, however, that the lacing system cannot be readjusted while riding, so it's sensible to set it carefully before you head out.

Fit, sizing and setup

The Heart Beat Edition is offered in EU 37–47 with half sizes up to 45.5; the included size chart provides length and width information for orientation. The knit upper fits snugly and can feel tight when putting them on; a supplied shoehorn makes slipping in easier and protects the material. The sole is designed for 3-Loch standards and works with common road pedals like Look Keo or Shimano SPD-SL. In tests, the last shape is described as rather narrow and long; if you need more room in the forefoot, you should take this into account when choosing size or use a custom insole. Some testers also point to an optional Look "Memory" drilling, which can prevent unwanted noises if used; if you ride a different cleat system, check the installation carefully. Take your time with the setup to adjust cleat position and instep tension exactly to your needs.

Care, warranty and durability

For care, the manufacturer recommends mild soap or a damp cloth; solvents and aggressive cleaners should be avoided so that the knit material and the sole retain their performance for a long time. The integrated NFC-Tag requires no special maintenance, but be careful not to excessively wet the interior when cleaning. DMT provides a 2-year warranty on its shoes, which further secures the investment. Thanks to the robust carbon sole and the resilient knit structure, the shoe is suitable for intensive training and competition, provided it is dried after rides and regularly cleaned of dust and dirt. This keeps the fit stable and the appearance of the Heart Beat Edition with its striking color details preserved for a long time.
