The S-PHYRE RC9S is the limited special edition of the top road racing shoe RC903 and brings the same technology in refined special colors to your road bike. It is based on the current RC903 platform with SPD-SL cleat interface, SHIMANO DYNALAST last shape and a carbon-fiber composite sole with stiffness index 12. The 360° surrounding upper and the seamlessly integrated midsole provide a very precise fit and high stability during intense efforts. Two low-profile BOA Li2 metal dials allow rapid micro-adjustments, while the lightweight, breathable microfiber synthetic leather securely and comfortably wraps the foot. A heel cup with Anti-Twist stabilization keeps the heel stable in position even during sprints. The men's model weighs approx. 228 g in size 42 and is available in standard and Wide widths from 36 to 48 including half sizes. As a matching pedal Shimano recommends the DURA‑ACE PD‑R9100.

The RC9S sole uses a stiff carbon-fiber midsole with a TPU outsole overlay and a hollow channel that reduces weight and increases torsional stiffness. A replaceable heel pad increases durability, while the extended cleat adjustment range offers more play for crank length and knee overlap. The insole is executed as a High-Density Cup Insole and includes adjustable Arch Pads for fine-tuning the foot arch support. Secure retention is provided by the external heel cup with Anti‑Twist stabilization, which minimizes twisting under high loads. Professional tests of the RC903 platform highlight the very direct power transfer, the improved BOA Li2 closures and the optimized heel hold, which are unchanged in the RC9S.
