Assos MILLE GTS 2/3 Jacket C2
The Assos MILLE GTS 2/3 Jacket C2 is the updated spring-fall jacket featuring a new, specially developed AIRBLOCK.888 membrane and breathable thermal insulation. It's designed to reliably protect you in changeable, cold and windy weather without overheating during higher intensity efforts. The membrane covers the chest, side panels and upper back; the middle and lower back features a particularly breathable panel for moisture management. Depending on temperature, you can combine it with a spring-fall base layer on colder days or a summer base layer on milder days – ideal for rides between spring and autumn in Switzerland.

Technical Details and Features
The core of the jacket is the medium-weight AIRBLOCK.888 membrane, which blocks wind, protects against spray and simultaneously creates a thermal buffer zone. The RX EVO Light sleeves provide additional, light insulation and allow moisture to escape, so the jacket remains comfortable even on longer climbs. At the neck, the soft struzzoKragen reduces the need to open the zip and keeps this sensitive area protected. The regularFit is stabilised by the elastic-free Stabilizator V11 hem, preventing the jacket from riding up under load. Practical for everyday use: the three Triple Ramp Pockets, whose flexible "lids" securely hold nutrition, phone and mini-pump. Depending on the colour variant, the composition of the outer material differs slightly; the blackSeries uses 57% PA/28% PL/15% EA, the Fluo Yellow uses 52% PL/33% PA/15% EA. In practice, it also shows: around 246g (S) and a simple front zip without 2-way function emphasise the focus on lightweight construction and simplicity.
Applications and Benefits
The MILLE GTS 2/3 shows its strengths on cool days when wind and occasional spray dominate the weather picture – whether commuting along Lake Zurich, on road bike loops in the Mittelland or gravel rides in the Jura. Thanks to high breathability, the microclimate remains stable, which brings noticeably more comfort on rolling terrain with varying power output. Testers highlight that the jacket excels on cool tours and proves itself at temperatures just above freezing with the right base layer, while for deep sub-zero temperatures a thicker winter jacket makes more sense. This makes it perfect as a 2/3-season layer between summer jersey and full winter shell – exactly what many Swiss cyclists are looking for during transition periods.
Fit, Handling and Layering Tips
The jacket fits comfortably sporty: enough structure to stay in position without restricting freedom of movement in shoulders and arms. The pockets are generously sized and remain stable even when loaded, making long tours with plenty of nutrition easier. For intensive rides or milder days we recommend a summer base layer, in cooler conditions the spring-fall Skin Layer or a thin vest over the top – this way you can quickly adapt protection to the profile and altitude. Those who often ride in twilight benefit from the reflective back hem and the Fluo Yellow variant for additional visibility in traffic.
