The Assos MILLE GT LS Jersey S11 is a long-sleeved summer jersey for very hot, sunny days – designed to combine long distances with maximum breathability and reliable UV protection on the arms. The torso uses the ultralight AirCell material with an open hexagon pattern that rapidly wicks moisture and actively cools, while the sleeves are made from Push Pull with UPF 50+. The cut is typically Assos RegularFit: aerodynamic enough for speed, but comfortable for tours in the lowlands or over Alpine passes. Important: The extremely light torso offers UPF 15, which is why Assos recommends using sunscreen underneath.

Technical Details and Features

The heart is AirCell, a new circular knit textile that is extremely breathable thanks to its open structure and, thanks to Bi-Stretch, fits snugly horizontally while providing vertical support – ideal when the jersey pockets are loaded. The Stabilizer V11 rear panel gives the pockets additional shape stability and improves air circulation in the lumbar area. The Push Pull sleeves are light, low-volume and very elastic, allowing them to lie smoothly and promote aerodynamics. Together with the cleanly bonded, no-frills Raw-Cut finishes, this creates a tidy package that stays noticeably dry on long Swiss summer rides. For layering, Assos recommends combining with the Summer Skin Layer P1 within the Summer 1/3 system.

Applications and Benefits

This long-sleeve summer jersey plays to its strengths when you spend long hours in blazing sun – such as on the way over the Oberalp or during base training in the lowlands. The UPF 50+ sleeves reliably protect the forearms, while the ultralight torso keeps body temperature down and thus saves energy. Because the torso fabric is constructed extremely openly (UPF 15), a thin layer of sunscreen on the skin is worthwhile – this is also explicitly recommended by the manufacturer. In total, you get the cooling properties of a race jersey with the comfortable RegularFit, ideal for all-round use from brisk after-work rides to marathon days.
