The PISSEI AERO SOCKS are aerodynamic cycling socks for ambitious riders, developed with a ribbed Air-/Hi‑Speed cuff to reduce aerodynamic drag. As part of the official PISSEI collections for UAE Team Emirates – XRG and UAE Team ADQ, they're created in close proximity to WorldTour racing and shaped by real race demands. Two versions are available: the classic AERO SOCKS and the UAE Team Emirates Edition with team design. Both feature a breathable Skinlife foot section and are built for high speeds and long days on the road bike.

Technical Details and Features

The classic AERO SOCKS version uses an Air Speed fabric in the upper section to reduce flow separation, with a silicone application on the inside of the cuff for maximum grip. The foot is made from breathable Skinlife material, with a cuff height of 18 cm from the heel; the material breakdown is Leg: 80% polyester / 20% elastane, Foot: 92% polyamide / 8% elastane. The UAE Team Emirates Edition features an ultralight, ribbed Hi‑Speed cuff developed and tested in the wind tunnel, paired with a Skinlife foot. This team version comes with a 20 cm cuff height and a stated composition of 89% polyester / 11% elastane. Both versions target aerodynamic stability at high speeds and focus on efficient moisture management inside the shoe.

Use Cases and Benefits

On the road bike, the AERO SOCKS really come into their own at high speeds, in criteriums, time trials, or fast training rides around Zurich, Basel, or the Mittelland. The aerodynamic cuff creates a smooth, structured surface along the lower leg, positively influencing airflow and keeping the sock firmly in place under load. Thanks to the Skinlife foot, the climate inside the shoe stays comfortable even on long alpine passes or summer rides, while the snug, wrinkle-free fit helps prevent hotspots. Particularly relevant for Switzerland: the Team Edition is designed for warm weather, with a recommended temperature range of around 18 °C and above.

Sizes, Fit and Care

The team version is available in XS (36–39), S‑M (40–43) and L‑XL (44–47); the fit is athletic and close, designed for performance in a race shoe. Care instructions: wash inside out, maximum 30 °C, delicate cycle, no bleach, do not iron, and do not tumble dry — this keeps the knit structure and elasticity intact for longer. The classic AERO SOCKS shares the same easy-care guidelines and adds a silicone inner coating on the cuff for extra grip. Both versions are unisex and primarily available in white, making them a great match for a wide range of race and training outfits.
