On 2 February 2026, Assos brings the S11 generation to the Mille GT and Uma GT line — two years after the S11 debut with the Equipe RS. The wait had a reason: Assos wanted to transfer racing technologies to the endurance line, not simply build cheaper versions of the RS.
Jersey: AirCell and Eclipse
The Mille GT Jersey S11 weighs 25% less than its predecessor. The main body uses AirCell, an ultralight circular knit with an open hexagonal pattern that delivers air circulation and elasticity simultaneously. For the sleeves, Eclipse is used — a warp-knit material with a soft hand feel and UPF 50+.
That sounds like marketing speak, but the difference from the C2 generation is noticeable: less weight, better cooling, more modern silhouette.
Bib Shorts: QUARTZ and Recycling
The Mille GT Bib Shorts S11 bring the bigger surprise. The new QUARTZ textile offers breathable compression with permanent odour control — and is made from 80% recycled pre-consumer polyamide. Assos and sustainability haven't been an obvious pairing so far, but here a first step becomes visible.
The legs are cut longer than the predecessor. The rollBar strap system — removed on the RS S11 — stays on the Mille GT. The logic: endurance riders sit more upright, the chamois needs more vertical stabilisation. PILtec Plug-In at the leg endings grips in wet and dry conditions.
Colours and Price
At launch, the collection comes in blackSeries and Foundation Green. More colours follow seasonally. Price-wise, the Mille GT S11 sits below the Equipe RS but above many competitors — you pay for Swiss development and European manufacturing.
Assessment
The Mille GT is the line most Assos customers actually wear. Not everyone races, but everyone likes to ride comfortably. With the S11, the Mille GT closes the technical gap to the RS without adopting its uncompromising race fit. For the Sunday ride and the Alpenbrevet alike.
