Enervit C2:1 Carbo Gel Cola + Caffeine, 60 ml
This energy gel is designed for intense endurance efforts and provides per pouch 40 g carbohydrates in a 2:1 mix of Maltodextrin and Fructose. The Cola variant contains 100 mg caffeine per 60-ml serving and relies on reduced sweetness with high energy density, which simplifies intake on the go. The formula was developed in collaboration with UCI WorldTour teams and aims to efficiently increase carbohydrate intake per hour while minimizing gastrointestinal strain. In addition, vitamins B1, B6 and Niacin are included; the gel is gluten-free and fat-free and delivers around 120 kcal per pouch.
- 2:1 carbohydrate mix (Maltodextrin:Fructose) for high absorption efficiency
- 40 g carbohydrates and approx. 120 kcal per 60 ml
- 100 mg caffeine for focused phases and final sprint
- With vitamin B1, B6 and Niacin; gluten-free and fat-free
- Flavor: Cola; approx. 100 mg sodium per pouch
- Recommendation: 1–2 gels per hour depending on intensity and need
Technical Details and Features
The 2:1 composition uses different transport pathways in the intestine to increase carbohydrate oxidation and enable intake toward 90 g per hour. Per 60 ml the gel provides about 120 kcal, 40 g carbohydrates, 16 g sugars and around 100 mg sodium; vitamins B1, B6 and Niacin are also added. The reduced sweetness and the liquid texture make intake easier even at high breathing rates, for example on steep ramps or during intense intervals. Caffeine is dosed at 100 mg per pouch and is suitable for phases where alertness and perceived exertion play a central role.
Use Cases and Benefits
For road bike, Gravel or MTB in Switzerland the gel is particularly suitable for long climbs, marathons and races with repeated intensity spikes. In practice, the combination of multiple transportable carbohydrates (e.g. 2:1 glucose/fructose) has proven performance-enhancing, as higher oxidation rates and better tolerance compared to single sugars are possible. Depending on intensity, 1–2 gels per hour is a sensible guideline; for very long efforts total intake can be coordinated with other C2:1 products. Thanks to team and athlete development, the line aims to maximize energy efficiency under race conditions.
Practical Tips for Use
Plan your fueling rhythm in advance and use the cola-caffeine gel strategically for key moments like the finish, crests or hard intervals. Tolerance is individual, so "stomach training" during training is worthwhile before you apply the strategy in a race. Many athletes aim for 60–90 g carbohydrates per hour; the optimal amount, however, depends on duration, intensity and personal oxidation capacity. For caffeinated products: watch the total dose and heed warnings like "not recommended for children, pregnant or breastfeeding people". Current research and WorldTour experience also show that too high an intake does not automatically yield more performance, but should be tailored individually.
Quality and Safety
Enervit communicates for the C2:1PRO line doping-free certified formulas and develops the products in close cooperation with elite athletes. In addition, individual variants and batches of the Carbo gels are listed on the Kölner Liste, which is intended to further minimize doping risk; the listing is batch-specific and applies exemplarily, for instance to the Lime flavor. For the Swiss market, ingredient and nutritional information is presented transparently, which makes planning your personal fueling strategy easier. This way you get an energy gel that combines the technical requirements of modern endurance loads with practical handling.
