The Assos MILLE GTS Rain Jacket S11 is a medium-weight cycling rain jacket for long training sessions and tours in changeable Swiss weather. At its heart is the new Lightning 2L fabric (130 g/m²), which is permanently water-repellent while keeping the microclimate pleasantly stable. Thanks to its high elasticity, the jacket can easily be layered over jerseys and even over a light winter jacket – ideal from spring through deep winter. We stock this model in 4 variants; Assos also markets it under the name «WASSERSCHNAUZE» and offers colours like blackSeries and Optic Yellow as well as sizes from XS to 3XL.

Technical Details and Features

The Lightning 2L material forms a permanently water-repellent barrier and forgoes an additional DWR finish on the outer fabric, keeping weight low even when wet. Compared to the race-oriented RS Rain Jacket Targa with Schloss Tex 3L, the MILLE GTS offers more insulation and a broader range of applications for training in wet conditions. Under the arms, Type.OF11 panels increase breathability, while NACA Tec optimises air exchange without reducing protective performance. Sealed hems, a concealed two-way zip and the generous inner pocket round off the functional construction.

On long rides over Swiss alpine passes, commuting through the city or on spring and autumn tours, the jacket scores with reliable rain protection and controlled thermoregulation. It can be stowed in jersey or frame bags and is always ready when the weather changes. Technical Details and Features

The regularFit cut has been designed to sit cleanly over short or long-sleeved jerseys and light midlayers without flapping. The high elasticity of the outer material provides freedom of movement in aero position, while bonded and welded seams keep the rain out. The ASSOSOIRES pocket inside accommodates gloves or small warmers, so you can react quickly to weather changes. Available in sizes XS–3XL and several colours, so you can find your preferred look to match your setup.

Material and Construction

The main material Lightning 2L combines a soft circular knit inner side for light comfort with an elastic, protective outer layer. Because the construction is two-layer, the outer material doesn't absorb water – this prevents unnecessary additional weight in persistent rain. Under the arms, Assos uses Type.OF11 with protective DWR treatment to balance ventilation and splash protection. The material blend of 72% polyester, 21% elastane and 7% polyamide hits a good sweet spot of durability, stretch and pack size for year-round use.
