The Assos UMA GT Wind Jacket S11 is your lightweight companion for rides in cool, changeable weather during spring and autumn. It combines windproof protection with water-repellent performance while remaining pleasantly breathable, so you don't overheat on long road or gravel rides. The new, exceptionally compact packable main material makes the jacket so small it easily fits into a jersey pocket once the sun comes back out. Thanks to the double-slider zip, you can precisely control ventilation or quickly access your jersey pockets without fully opening the jacket. For Switzerland's typical weather changes – from Föhn to Bise winds – it counters with full protection even at the back, so spray and headwinds don't stand a chance. Elastic, highly breathable inserts on the sides and inner sleeves ensure a natural feel, keeping the regularFit cut sporty yet comfortable.

Technical Details and Features

For the S11 update, Assos uses a tightly woven main textile that reliably blocks wind and, thanks to DWR treatment, repels light rain and spray. In the technology overview, this main material is described as Buster; in the "Behind the product" section it's mentioned as Breaker – both designations refer to the new, densely woven, water-repellent S11 main textile. It's complemented by Sens Air inserts on the flanks and forearms, which increase freedom of movement and improve microclimate control. The close-fitting regularFit construction reduces seams, minimizing friction points while pedaling. The double-slider zip further extends climate control, for instance on long Swiss Alpine descents when quick, finely tuned ventilation is needed. Thanks to higher compressibility compared to its predecessor, the jacket disappears effortlessly into a jersey pocket when conditions turn drier or warmer.

Size, Fit and Layering

The UMA GT Wind Jacket S11 is designed with a regularFit: close-fitting but not restrictive, so it sits cleanly both over a short-sleeve jersey and over a mid-weight insulation layer. The elastic inserts on the sides and forearms prevent flapping and ensure the jacket lies smooth in typical riding position at the handlebars. Combine it during Swiss spring/autumn with lightweight arm warmers or a spring/autumn jersey; in strong winds, often just a base layer underneath is enough. Thanks to the double-slider zip, you can quickly adjust ventilation on long climbs or in the city.
