DMT KR0
The DMT KR0 is a high-end road racing shoe for cyclists seeking maximum power transfer and a natural wearing feel. Its upper is made from Engineered 3D Knit, which fits the foot like a sock while remaining shape-stable. For fine-tuning two BOA Li2 dials provide adjustment, combined with an extremely stiff Carbon SL outsole with generous ventilation. Developed and tested in WorldTour use – including with Elia Viviani – the KR0 combines comfort and efficiency at race level. Measured pair weights range approximately between 450 and 510 grams depending on size. The sole is designed for 3-hole cleats and offers 8 mm fore/aft adjustment for ideal positioning.

Technical Details and Features
The 3D Knit construction uses variable knit zones and integrated pull tapes so the shoe remains flexible across the instep while still offering lateral stability. Two BOA Li2 dials allow separate adjustment of the fore and mid/instep areas, which reduces pressure points and enables precise readjustments even while riding. The Anatomic Carbon SL sole is ultra-stiff, with large mesh openings for ventilation to provide a dry, cool foot environment on long rides. The heel area is shaped for secure hold; test reports note additional grippy elements against Heel Lift. The cleat mount supports common 3-hole standards and allows fine positioning over an 8 mm adjustment range.
Use Cases and Benefits
The KR0 plays to its strengths wherever lightweight, stiffness and ventilation matter – from alpine climbs in summer to fast training laps around Lake Zurich to indoor sessions on the trainer. The airy knit upper and ventilated carbon sole provide noticeable fresh-air exchange and thus consistent performance even at high temperatures. Thanks to the dual BOA Li2 adjustment the fit remains reliable on rolling terrain, without hotspots on the instep. In transitional seasons or cool weather, however, combining with overshoes is recommended, since the high breathability can otherwise lead to rapid cooling. Riders who value efficient power transfer and a minimalist foot feel will find the KR0 a suitable partner for long distances and racing.
Fit and Care
Regarding fit, tests report slightly varying impressions: some recommend going half a size down for an especially tight race fit, while others find the sizes true to scale. The best approach is to try them on with your own performance socks to accurately assess the knit-typical, close fit. The KR0 is easy to care for with mild soapy water and a soft cloth; aggressive cleaners and solvents should be avoided. The BOA Li2 closure is robust, low-profile and built for long-lasting use. This keeps the shoe looking and functioning well in Swiss everyday life between training, commuting and racing.
